by Hartz on Oct.11, 2009, under Photo
Today I tried a time lapse experiment with my Canon 40D. It came out quite well for the short time I had to take all the pictures (25 minutes). I took a picture every 15 seconds.

Top 10 photography tips
by Indrid Cold on Aug.14, 2009, under Photo
Many people who start out with photography don’t have a clear understanding of what should they actually create or do to improve their style, so to clear out some of the issues that may interfere I’ve thought out some tips to help others.
1: Always plan ahead. You can’t just go out with a camera and hope for that perfect picture to show up on your display so always try to have a clear picture of what you want your photograph to look like. Try finding inspiration in little things, in details, in patterns until you see something that you may like.

Football
by Hartz on Aug.10, 2009, under Photo, Stuff
I don’t like this sport. Don’t know why but I don’t, the idea of running after a ball for 90+ minutes does not sound good to me at all.
Yesterday I have been offered the chance to go to a football match for free and to the official tribune, thanks to Seaqxx. It was quite nice actually, I got a little experience with shooting sports. Though my lens is quite slow and I need a lot of light to get the “stop motion” effect I managed to take some nice pictures.
Ruins of Iasi
by Hartz on Aug.03, 2009, under Photo, Stuff
In 2007 the construction of an underground passage had begun, while digging they found some ruins buried under the street and all the work came to a halt. Apparently they has stumbled upon the ruins of an inn from the XVII-XVIII century. And then all the romanian bureaucracy started to kick in. The site was declared an archeological site, one expertise after another followed and their conclusion was that those ruins should be included in the design of the underground passage but there hasn’t been any activity at the site since. This is a typical romanian approach of a problem: make it take as long as it can so everyone(the big bosses of course, not the worker that’s sweating at the site) can take their share of the money and then say that there is no money left and start the circus all over again. Thanks to seaqxx who showed me a very good spot to take pictures from, I managed to take some pictures of the site which are posted below.
